IIRC Rocke, they are all different with improvemnts in transmission/eninge, weight or a roof

The "special" 'vette is a sparkly paint finish and some stikaaaaz

Yeah, but they are actually different. These all seem to be the same bodystyle, but with varying degrees of power and different colourschemes and bodykits.

those rims dont work with the car at all....stock z06 rims are perfect

I think the problem is they made the z06 too good to start with and modifying the looks can only go downhill

Being $12,000 more than a standard Z06, it looks like a bit of a ripoff.

    $12,000 for 427 badges is indeed a rip-off...

I don't like how automakers are trying to suck every possible dollar from consumers by throwing new paint and badges onto a car and calling it a Special Edition and selling it. There are 22 different Mustangs, now there are 5 different 'Vettes by my count (Regular, Z06, ZL1, Pace Car, 427) But if suckers are dumb enough to pay for it, let 'em have it I say.

Trim levels are alright. There's a power difference between a regular, Z06 and a ZR-1. But this version of the car is pointless if it's the same as the Z06 with special colors.

Gentlemen allow me to run the train on this thread.

First of all its more than just 427 badges:
    • Exclusive, new chrome wheels
    • Body-color rear spoiler and door handles
    • Exclusive dark titanium custom leather-wrapped interior
    • Special Crystal Red interior trim plate graphic pattern
    • Console armrest signed and numbered by Wil Cooksey
    • “427”-embroidered seats and floor mats
    • “Z06” sill plates
Now for the "ripoff". Go to chevrolet.com and build yourself a Z06 in a premium color with the loaded 3LZ package. You should get something with a net price of:

    Yep $82,665.00.

So the price of this car is $84,195.00

    $84,195.00
    -$82,665.00
    =$1,530.00.

So for an extra $1,530.00 you get a limited run car, with a limited run interior, wheels that no other Z06 are ever going to have, and a pretty sick paint job.

GM has been putting out special edition Corvettes for almost as long as Corvette has been a name. They sell like hotcakes, ripoff or not.

^ the current Z06 should have been badged as a 427 from the start imo.
i'll pay extra to get them to take off the fugly chrome wheels..

Or you could simply sell them for a high price since they're so rare, get a set of standard Z06 wheels and enjoy your profits.

    Always think the business way!

Personally I like them, I'm not a huge fan of chrome but they look alright.

And anyway isn't the point of the Corvette being a cheap sportscar?

Does it contribute to the annual losses of GM?
