    In Giugiaro I trust!

It has been announed today in the west coast that a Giugiaro concept of the beloved Mustang was prepared for the LA show!
The car is by all means fantastic. What could be better than american muscles in an italian layout?

That looks beautiful. Wouldn'tve seen it on here if it weren't for kinan.f, but that's not saying much because I'm naturally slow when it comes to these sorts of thing.

OK, that does look pretty sweet. But I hate the seats...

In my opinion (and I know I'm not alone) this has nothing to do with Italian design, even though that thing came from Giugiaro. To me it looks like a joke. Those seats with cow leather are hilarious! Only lacking the famous cowbell.
I think not even John Wayne would like those seats.
As Wouter said, it seems like they're making fun of Americans.

I gotta have more cowbell babies!!

    From the press release:
    * The interior - featuring a dramatic instrument panel that sweeps the width of the car; circular gauges that project from behind the steering wheel; dark brown horsehide-covered headrests with horse logo accents; and seat cushions and backrests elaborately upholstered in dark brown mottled horse hides.

The seats are actually horsehide (a Mustang is a horse, after all) - amazing how similar cows and horses look when you get rid of all the stuff underneath.

I stand by what I said in the other thread - I want one!

My response is: Stunning. I am not sure I like it, but it is simply a stunning design.

HOLY COW. I remember that spy shot we all got of this about a month ago and how godawful it looked. This is positively amazing, I don't think we could've been farther off. The scissor doors are a little kitcshy but WOW. To think I was blown away with the last Mustang concepts...

Not muscular/strong enough presence to be a Muscle car. This car is too sophisticated looking (bullish seats aside) to disappear in a cloud of smoke. I do like it though, Italian interpretation of American style, throw in a Lexus drivetrain and I'd line up for one.
