    Mercedes 2-door!

Original Request by a custom shop in NY:

Those are the pics that I have. I guess pick the best one to use. Pretty much what I am looking for it for it to look like a 2 door. Leave the front door the same size. From the rear door cut in 1/2 and slide the ass of the car foward. Then do your magic, let me know if you have any questions.
aparently a client of their shop is looking to make a 2-door out of the CLS...not sure if i like it or not!

He should've got a CL, then he wouldnt've had to go through the trouble of turning the CLS into an awkward looking two door, nor would he have an ugly mercedes.

I don't understand why people say it looks awkward as a coupe. The sedan was designed to essentially be a coupe with two extra doors...

But don't you find that the two doors alone look odd the way they are? I think they should've at least stretched them back a bit further. The problem with the CLS is that its body was styled to have 4 doors and not 2. So when it suddenly comes rolling alone with 2, it just looks off. But hey, thats just my opinion. If you look at the picture more carefully you'll see what I mean.

In my opinion they need to pull the rear end in a bit more and stretch the door back a little further. It just looks like its hanging in between a sedan and coupe, like it can't make up its mind.
I'm afraid this is a signature, a very pathetic one.

if he likes it and they decide to do it, ill ask them to take build pics for us to see!

most likely he will want to see it the stock length with extended doors!...chopping the car and mending it together is a hell of alot more work than extending doors i would think

If he does that those doors will be so disproportionate it wouldn't look right. Oh well, we'll see later.
