i like audis, my in-laws have 2 of 'em and i have driven and love the both ov 'em. but i dont care how it drives, i dont care if its slow, whatever. if i were to be seen in one, i would much rather it be the brera because its so damn gorgeous.

Hey watch it. We might not have a acronym for Alfa, but we can arrange something....
I'm afraid this is a signature, a very pathetic one.

The 'new' TT is not TT enough, it ain't stunning, it ain't iconic. If the "New TT" is the Shooting Brake concept; my vote will go for Audi. I voted Brera solely because the new TT doesn't carry the the original TT's message, it merely carry on it's looks. They better call it a Facelift. Brera for me.

I wouldn't have any of them, the new TT looks boring compared to the original and it's just a Golf underneath. I have driven a Brera 3,2 and it's not very fast and handles like a truck. I would have the Alfa Romeo GT 3,2 instead!

Yes and imagine it with the 4.7-litre V8 from the 8C...

    *drools*

But even the regular models (and also the 159) are going to go on a diet by the time the facelift is released in 2008/2009. The current V6 engines are also going to ger replaced by a pair of new V6's (3-litre and 3.5-litre) altough I don't know if those will still be based in GM blocks.

not too difficult to imagine, that was how it started in the first place

Yes you're right, altough by then they had to settle with the 4.2-litre V8...

    What a tragedy...

I for one wholeheartedly hope that Alfa go back to the greatness that they once had. They're too great to die.

I'm sorry, is Alfa Romeo on the brink of collapse?

As for the topic, Brera is agonizingly beautiful car. In real life it looks even better - good enough to forgive its leisurely perfomance, methinks

They are just back on track to recovery, the return to the golden days will be difficult but they are trying hard, and the fact that Fiat seems to be recovering with hits such as the Grande Punto is helping Alfa Romeo. The 8C is just a sign of it, and there are more to come, like rear driven replacement to the 166 (based in Quattroporte's underpinnings) or an Alfa Romeo Sprint to fight the Mini.

I'm actually more worried of Lancia...
