The 335i coupe is pretty damn sexy in black with some tint.

I agree on the 3-series Coupe. However we were talking about the saloon, weren't we?

If you're looking at sedans of both, then I'd take neither, as there are way better looking cars out there.

Coupe makes it a lot more interesting, with the BMW nudging it out for me. I saw the aforementioned 335i coupe in black last week, and I had to slow down so he would pass me. Amazing car.

I agree with you when it comes to 4-door saloons the Alfa Romeo 159 and even the Audi A4 (despite that grille) are more beautiful, and definitely my choice in the segment. However if we are talking about coupes then yes the BMW is ahead of the Infinity, especially if the BMW has one of those sweet straight six engines...

And apparently Audi do the best V8 in the business. But unfortunately you cann't have an A4 bodystyle with a 4.2FSI V8 unless you buy an S4 or RS4...

The S4's engine doesn't have direct fuel injection. And anyway when it comes to "normal" engines (I mean not S/RS), BMW's powerplants are a lot better in my opinion.

EDIT And I have driven both, Audi's 3.2-litre FSI V6 and BMW's 3-litre straight six.

No, it's just a regular 4.2 V8- not the FSI.

It's a more compact version of the one fitted to the previous generation's S6, and the same as the RS6's engine minus the blowers- so yeah, quite an old engine design minus Fuel Stratified Injection

Aaah, so the engine fitted to my 28yr old cousins husband's 05 Audi A6 4.2V8 is an un-FSI unit?
