Just over 100,000 miles. The exteriors in good condition, just a bit of rust and paint chipping in a few places. Interior not so much... dash is badly cracked from heat and sunlight, seats have some stains, and minor scratches and rattles. But overall I'm happy with it. Of course I've already dropped over $3000 into it on repairs, details are here:

but so far have replaced: front tires, front brake disks, starter, rebuilt cat, new exhaust, distributer, ecu (shorted by a fuel injector), said fuel injector, idle air control, heater/ac control valve (two one under hood and one in dash), clutch master cylinder, one of the two plastic t-tops.

4000$ should have bargained it down but gave the guy asking price, don't ask why I'd rather not talk about it

I really doubt that. Chipped 1.8T's regularly killed my buddy's Mustang, and I know his 4.6 is faster than a stock 3rd gen Camaro.

The 'stang is an auto perhaps? Admittedly the 305 lacks alot in the top end. However if I ever get around to siamesing the intake that shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Bob, some of the 1.8Ts have 225bhp to their name- such as the Seat Léon Cupra R. I still think that your Camaro would dust them, though.

Just curious what's the mass of these 1.8T cars? Mine is somewhere between 1400 and 1500 kg. Power output is 235 bhp/300ftlbs stock, but as I said I believe my exhaust system is better than stock.

Ummm the Léon is 1320kg, or 2910lb, if you prefer Yankee measures!

They don't have as much torque as that, I think it's around 200lb/ft. Still respectable for a family hatchback!

If I remember correctly, the average output for the 1.8T was between 150 and 180bhp- 150bhp in the Golf GTi, and 180bhp in the Léon Cupra (not the R), and also in the Octavia vRS (1st gen).
