    UEFA Champions League 2006

I know there is already an old Champions League thread, but it's full of rubbish and way too old. So here's a fresh one with the last 16 in them!

Next Friday, December the 15th, the UEFA will draw the knock-out rounds. Rules are simple: the group winners in one bowl, the second placed teams in the other, regardless from what country they are. Every team can face each other except those who have played against each other in the group stage.

    Group 1 - group winners
    Chelsea FC (Eng)
    Bayern München (Ger)
    Liverpool FC (Eng)
    Valencia (Spa)
    Olympique Lyonnais (Fra)
    Manchester United (Eng)
    Arsenal FC (Eng)
    AC Milan (Ita)

Group 2 - second placed teams
    Barcelona (Spa)
    Internatzionale (Ita)
    PSV Eindhoven (Ned)
    AS Roma (Ita)
    Real Madrid (Spa)
    Celtic FC (Sco)
    FC Porto (Por)
    LOSC Lille Métropole (Fra)

    Current top scorers:
    5 Didier Drogba (Chelsea)
    5 Kaká (AC Milan)
    5 Fernando Morientes (Valencia)
    4 Peter Crouch (Liverpool)
    4 Nicolae Dica (Steaua)
    4 Claudio Pizarro (Bayern München)
    4 Louis Saha (Man. United)
4 Ruud van Nistelrooy (Real Madrid)

I think I'm placing my money on Lyon this year... They are by far the most attractive playing team this year...

Well they are still in the lead, and while I agree that their game has been lacking since the start of this season, they are showing signs of improvement and they have the talent to do so.

Mainly because of Deco.. He's the center of that team.. The team needs him more than Ronaldinho.
