Its like a Mustang Stingray. It doesn't look like a 'Stang at all.

Is that pic of an OSI show car, based on a Mustang, that looks a bit like a TVR?

Hi Tom, welcome to UCP. It is assumed that it is a Bertone design dating from 1964, to potentially be built by OSI. It was shown in Turin in 1964 and used a 271 BHP Hi-Po engine, with 4 speed gearbox and discs all around.
At that time OSI, established in 1960, was owned by Luigi Segre, owner of Ghia and meant as a means to sell more Ghia designed cars. Reportedly a couple of cars were actually sold, but its main purpose was to serve as a trst mule for the Ford Taunus based OSI 20 M TS. I have no information that any car still exists.
In 1965 Bertone produced a much better known study on the basis of a Mustang, but that remained a one off, and has no link with OSI.

The Dutch OSI club has more information, including history of all cars built by OSI.

    OSI Mustang Berlinetta

This OSI Ford Mustang was built on a shortened chassis (2400 mm wheelbase) with tubular frame and glassfibre body (the OSI Mustang was the first OSI project where they used a fibreglass body). It was done as a result of the Alpine-OSI cooperation fixed in 1965. The OSI was first shown on the 1965 Turin Autoshow. It is quite likely that Sergio Sartorelli was the designer – being head of the Design Studio he claims responsibility for most of the OSI cars of that time. The whereabouts is unknown.

    Welcome,

May I assume that this is the same car dealt with above? And therefore that there is no Bertone connection, but purely an in-house OSI design?
