Optimax Extreme (100 octane w/Ethanol) was a marketing flop.
The re-branding also allows a colour change from blue to the Shell (and Ferrari) red.

No Mr. Craig, I expect you to die! On the inside. Of heartbreak. You emo bitch
Anybody else going?
I'll be there on Saturday.
Mum went today, got Rick Kelly's signature on my bag
Anyhow, the season is shaping up to be a exciting one, with many drivers swapping sides over the Chrismtas break, I'll have trouble remembering who drives what! :P
I'll try to take a few pics and actually post them up unlike last year.
Prototype-X.
I have been sick so I didn't attend today but I'll be going tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday.
4 day pass FTW!

This is a semi-repost. Anyhow, I would love to go - but Adelaide is a bit too far away

I'd probably go to the GP if i had the money. It'd have to be one or the other, as theyre too close, even when the V8's are on the GP support act.
This year should be interesting. I'd almost put money on Cam McConville winning in the VZ

It's Hilarius - Whilst all the big budget teams are jumping onto the VE bandwagon, the smaller teams are making do with the VZ - which is faster than anything else on the track - to the point where TEGA is trying to slow them down! Cam would be feeling pretty good right now.

Could very well look like Bright in '03 again, where at mid year he was looking like a championship challenger.
TEGA wont let it get too far out of hand though, but theyre already a few months behind by not cropping the VZ's aero when they updated BA to BF spec.
The balance though between VE and BF will be alot closer and equal than what VZ and BA was, so it'll be interesting whether the better balance of the new cars is better than the higher downforce of the old car.

James Courtney on pole.
Whincup 2nd, Tander 3rd. Rick Kelly 15th, Skaife 17th.

I think its too early to start making tips. Neither 888 or SBR can be counted out just because the VE's debuting at 3rd. The aero has balanced the cars out alot better, and made them alot easier through traffic. SBR also have an impecible record in Adelaide the past years, particularly car #4. Hopefully Courtney doesnt feel the need to prove himself a bit too much after last years race.

Have the pits always been this tight at Adelaide, or do SBR and 888 need to get the surveyors out for their pitbays. Both Courtney and especially Ingall were held up by the 888 cars then.

That's what I was thinking. If Courtney wasn't held up he'd be in the lead.

They were saying with Courtney, Lowndes wasnt completely in his pit bay, which certainly wouldnt have helped. It happened again though with Ingall and Whincup, and i didnt notice anyone else having that much of an issue with the room.
0.6s gap right now, and new lap record set earlier for Courtney.
