I'm probably keeping it , because I cant find an other decent car for the price, guess I can keep pumping money in this 13 year old car.

    Lower it.

Oh gee, since you're keeping it, you should probably get some of these for it...

upgraded the stereo today, I was amazed how much the stadard speakers put out with a decent headunit (4*50W). It will not brake the windows though

Not to spoil your fun, but the Alto has exactly the same radio. I used to have a 100 year old cassete player in it, when I bought it. The radio was broken and all my cassete's were long ago dumped in the bin. So I decided to get this one for a very decent price of 100€. I had the same, it puts out a very decent sound compared to the old. Until volume 30 I can play most CD's (320 kb/s only MP3 cd's offcourse) without crackling speakers.

why should it spoil my fun? it's a good unit for the price, I got it for 99 euro's

edit: my standard 4 vw speakers manage volume 23, after that.... it gets tricky, but 23 isn't bad

But, we all know that "23" doesn't mean a thing. My HU goes to 50 or something. Most stuff is played at 30-35.

    I've got a Pioneer DEH-P70BT.

Let's say it is loud enough to just hear the engine doing high revs. iirc it goes to 35, but I rarely play it that loud.

One of the worst steering wheels ever waugh....

I'd need a ten inch sub, 2 6x9 speakers, 2 5x7 speakers an amp and a head unit to be heard over my engine.

So I've pulled the face off my CD player and dont listen to music.
