If anyone other than Schumacher had parked up at Monaco last year, would the immediate reaction of the paddock and the press have been to assume that it was an intentional ploy to disrupt the results of qualifying?

Because there have been so many dubious incidents involving the same people, there is a prevailing expectation that Ferrari are in the wrong somehow.
Your example is Schumacher related. If Massa had done the same people would not have reacted so much...

Yes I also think along those lines, the controversy came because it was Schumacher who did it, not because he drove a Ferrari.

Who is the driver in the car at the end? Is that Massa?

Definitely not Massa. Judging by the helmet it looks like it could be Italian FIA GT racer Andrea Bertolini. Not 100% sure though.

Thanks for the tip. IE is actually good for something!

I loved all those locations. The product placement was also very clever (Quattroporte and the 612).

Definitely one of the better ads. I find it on par with the Honda ads as of lately.

You may notice on the link above, that the Honda "Choir" advert is also there, and you may also find the biography of Antoine Bardou-Jacquet revealing.

Yeah, I did notice that. The advertisement I was referring to was the "Impossible Dreams" commercial, where the guy was constantly evolving into some higher form of Honda product. The same theme is here too, it's just evolving through the same product from a different time period.

Actually, I found the Civic commercial to be pretty good, but I like the "Impossible Dream" one more than the Civic one.
