Porsche sold two cars as "Road-cars".

The white car was found by the owner at a junk-yard and was re-built to road-use. The car exists up to now, but is re-built to race-use in it's original livery "lila hippie", but you can see it was a road-car, because it has indicator lights within the front-lights. (It's chassis #021)

That's such a beautiful machine. netburner, I can see the indicator lights that are slightly noticeable if you look at the pictures carefully.

Depends quite a lot on your definition of the best though... it's nontheless one of the most awsome.

Driving this on the road is probably like playing Burnout Revenge.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

The crazy speed on public roads (Not that you would do that in such an expensive car), the amazing acceleration, and it looks freakin' awesome.

Given that the reputation of the race car was not exactly the highest, I can't imagine that it was improved considerably by putting it into a road environment with poor surfaces, traffic and low speed maneouvering.
