    General Photography Competition #87

    Congratulations to Speedy_2 for winning comp #86 !

    • Any users who enter and vote for themselves automatically recieve a 2 week penalty from the competition and all votes previously given to his/her photo are removed.

    User name
    Subject matter
    Date taken
    Camera type & name
    Standings 2007

    That's either badly sharpened or badly resized.

    In that case I don't really get your point Although the hi-res does better justice to it, I have it perfectly sharp displayed on my monitor.

    I don't think it's badly sharpened, maybe just badly resized. Also, looks like a bit too much shadows/highlights adjustment. i.e. the white halo around the superstructures. On second thought. All the jaggies would be a sign of over sharpening. Might want to watch out for those. Thin lines in a digital picture are real susceptible to that when sharpened.

    True ! I love it too and I dare to call it (one of) my best pictures yet. It isn't perfect, I know that, but the perfect picture doesnt exist. It was actually quite suprising to me it turned out so well. I found an old 80's tripod on the attic and decided to take it out there, to get a bit of a feel for it. You'll see more pictures of this shoot soon. It isn't the only really good one (!)
