If this comparison thread was comparing a BMW E46 M3 to the Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R... I would definitely choose the BMW E46 M3 which is my favourite car of all time.

However, since this thread is comparing the E30 M3 to the R32 GT-R, I would take the GT-R which has a much more beautiful physical appearance than the E30 M3 and a nicer interior. The R32 GT-R is probably more reliable as well. I really hate the interior and ugliness of the E30 M3 and I could live with owning the Skyline... despite the notorious reputation and bad image of Nissan Skylines.

That E30 really does look good. The Skyline I like too, but there's way too many of them around. I really seem to like both, but I'm leaning more towards the BMW.

the E46 M3's WAY out of reach.

just wondering, if i plan to install advan A048 245/R17 all-round will it be a waste? the car i'm after is already fitted with an aftermarket michelin PS2 tires (205's all-round) and BBS wheels.

i'm just afraid that the 245 A048's will only increase unsprung weight and waste the 200HP. in lotus exige the A048's if i remember correctly are 205's. and those 205/R17 A048's are wide enough to handle 200 HP but yet the exige is a very lightweight car.

(the M3 will be my first high performance car, been driving a peugeot 306 for years now, so i don't really know that much about high performance tires and stuff)

If i were to get a E30, I'd go with 15 or 16 to keep with the sport looks. Tugging in huge rims into small cars is IMO, fugly. Not to say old cars like these.

Compared to the 18 year old Skyline R32, it's actually older...

except this thread is between the E30 M3 and the R32 GTR, not the new M3

It would be interesting to read at least the thread title before replying.
