Having beer cans hurled at the car is probably the most exciting thing I've ever heard of at a race of a bunch of 4000lb tanks driving around an oval.

Nascar is bullshit and I can't believe it has so many fans.

these fans have done the same at football games too so i don't see the diffrerence. even at a basketball game a fan did it and got knocked out by the player. jesse james made a nascar car that could sweep the street super fast. they could use it now!

That should be "200 mph, 4,000-lb tanks!"

I don't watch nascar, but I think if you tried driving one of those it would be much harder than you think it is.

it kind of is ... you steer on the straights to keep it goign in a straight line so you dont' ahv eto put too much in on the corners.
    Silly
I actually watched hte end of that race.
29 cars all withgin 3 seconds of each other because of cautions.

    Drag racing takes skill, too.
You have to have a good reaction time at the gate because sometimes races are won or lost by the reaction time.
Then you have to be a good shifter- even with an automatic- not too late and not too soon. It has to be timed just right.

Don't they slow to around 125 on the turn?

I like how they bother naming the corners 1, 2, 3 and 4.

    I thank you sir.

I strongly dislike Nascar. And, contrary to common belief based on my location, I don't know a single person who does.
