    Which is worse...?

Driving on public roads without a license, or driving on public roads uninsured?*

On a completely unrelated note, here's a random youtube video...

*Yes, the former invariably results in the latter.

Since, as you put it, the former invariably results in the latter, the former would be worse, since it's also the latter.

Since, IMO, a license does not denote any sort of driving skills, driving without a license only hurts yourself. Driving without insurance hurts anyone else involved in an accident you happen to have. Driving without insurance is more selfish and less citizenly responsible.

but since not having a license equates to not being able to get insurance, it's at least as bad, right?

Basically yes, altough I want to raise I couple of points. Driving without a license hurts you, but if you have an accident as a result of your lack of skills you could also hurt other people. And driving without insurance shouldn't be done, but sometimes circumstance can force you to do so, if for short periods of time.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.

You're joking! It's great, fizzy engine that wakes up with a tap of the throttle, really nice, smooth gearbox... It may only have 74bhp but it weighs the same as a crisp packet.

Tom, your ability to suck astounds me. 74hp is less hp than in my pinky figure. Hell, your girlfriend at top speed is putting out more than 74 hp.
