Currently I am giving iRacing a go. I have wanted to try it out for ages but never wanted to spend the money, last night I just thought what the hell and went for it. It takes quite a bit of getting used to and I am not a massive fan of the force feedback, seems a little dull. It's a lot of fun though, haven't taken part in an actual online race yet. I want to get better so that I don't crash into everyone the first time I try!

With those graphics from the Xbox, Zelda, Mario, and Metroid and SSBB would be epic.

I'm playing it with him on my PC, graphics aren't too bad, proper voice overs for each character (aside from Bumblebee who can actually speak properly unlike in the films), follows the film mostly but there are one or two changes. Controls are a little cumbersome (too many keys for my kid to play it all by himself but he is only just moving up from our PSP and DS), flight being the most awkward also as a vehicle you only have left / right and brake as they accelerate by themselves (possibly to get around the 3 button press limit of the keyboard).

I thought we'd almost finished but i hadn't realised there are Decepticon as well as Autobot stories to play thru and we've probably overplayed it to finish the Autobot story so quickly. There are some nice unlockables including concept art and several cartoon episodes from the 1985 original series.

Overall a nice game for a youngster rather than grown-ups. As for the first game i couldn't say as we havent played that one. I say that but in reality i have played the "first" game, way back when it came out on the Commodore 64. Hehe, showing my age a bit
