very strange....calling killing social activity...and if you want to train timing and accuracy, you might want to play pinball or so....

It's pixels. people need to get over the whole "OH MY GOD THEY JUST KILLED A PERSON!" thing. it's a character.

I suggest you have a go at playing with a group of people before you go mocking it as a social activity.

Pinball? whassat then? before my time

Define simmered down. 100 people dieing in 1 car bomb? 20 dieing every other day wounding many, many more?

It hasn't simmered down at all. It's a shame for our troops and the population there of innocent civilians to become the victims of 3 barberic groups.

Aren't the "best" games considered to be the ones that are closest to reality?

Closest to reality? yeah. if your a nerd.

Most people like being able to blow their friends to bits in ways that are not feasible on the real world.

Games where you really get a taste for the blood aren't my forte.

you know, i was playing COD3 the other day and i was thinking about how much fun it would be to play a german campaign in the game.

I hope in this game you get to steal freedom then sell it to make dirty bombs, then the US could put an embargo on freedom.
I would skip straight to the ending cutscene with the 72 virgin girls...hopefully with fully animated and bump-mapped bloody hymens for authenticity.

Depends. Shooters like Rainbow 6 are considered good because of the realism is due to the tactical nature and planning element of it, making it realistic by not having you plow in gun's blazing. It's was actually pretty boring to do that.

In other games where the realism is lauded, it's do with the accurate recreations of physics and realistic looking terrain more than the fact you can blow a limb off.

They're not British, they're Scottish. Sam and Dan Houser are just 2 of the 5 men responsible for GTA, and happen to be English.

Oi. I may need to take a wee look at my geography again.
I still refer to them more of Scottish. British to me is the English.
