hey.
i am not really sure, but i think the threadstarter may have asked about your own criterias, not the example of the car matching the criteria he made.
in other words, he asked you to make your own version of the first post in the thread.
mine would be a not-so-fast grand tourer with the best looks, best comfort, best pleasure, reasonable running cost, and a reliable, reputable marque.
well, since i am not such a hard driver and i tend to appreciate comfort and "tangible" technology and comfort over driving pleasure, my perfect car would be a mercedes benz CL550 W216. not as thirsty as your 599 GTB (and has a better made and quality interior), handles quite well, uber-alles comfort, great looks(this is highly subjective, though), something that will get you to destination after cruising a long distance some 15 minutes behind a DB9 or 599GTB but still exit the cockpit in total comfort and peace way above the DB9 and 599GTB. the CL needs far less expensive maintenance than any other GTs and are built to last. but even when the CL broke, the dealerships and workshops and roadside assistance of mercs are the best in the world. ferrari? aston? nightmare.
so, that's my perfect car, the CL550 W216
but if you ask me to search for an all-out death-kissing 7th sky pleasure kind of driving machine cost notwithstanding, a street-converted peugeot 905 evo2 (developed for 1993 WSCC but never raced, only tested) will be my perfect car.
Better than the cumbersome BX 4TC anyway...
It had the 2174cc turbocharged engine (210bhp) and the rear end from a Lotus Esprit, the front axle and brakes from the Group 5 CXs and the gearbox from the SM. Citroen developped quite a lot of prototypes based on the Visa and the BX, before acutally unveiling the definitive BX 4TC, usually presented in the 1000 Pistes rally.
Pictured are the Visa Bimoteur and the Visa K.
