How come Mazda never made a rotary powered Miata or MX-5?
That'd be a nice combination there.
What do you mean by burninate the country side, btw?
...is his LS1 for sale?
On GMFS some guy posted a video of an evo with an LS1 and one guy said a guy down the road had an LS1's RX7 that was for sale for like $22,500?
He came dancing across the water
With his galleons and guns
Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls
No, he put so much of his life into the swap & loves it so much; I don't think he'll be getting rid of it for a long time. Actually I think he was offended that I wasn't planning on getting my own LS1. My chest isn't quite that hairy, and I really like the rotary. BTW his LS1 is putting down over 400hp at the wheels..
$22,500 sounds about right.
If you wanted a Corvette you would have bought one.
I don't understand why people change the engines in the cars. Sure it'll make it a lot faster, but it's just a Corvette in a different wrapper.
There's no point, IMO.
except you get a V8 instead of a rotary, which has it's advantages but defies the point if he wanted a rotary sportscar.
besides it's not exactly difficult to maintain a rotary it just requires more attention, and if you can't pay attention to a sportscar, buy a corolla.
iirc it doesn't make it lighter either, but adds a minor amount of wieght?

Adds about 100lbs and barely worsens the weight distribution. A small price to pay for "the Devils Torque."
Don't get me wrong, I love V8s especially GMs aluminum iterations. IMO the sound of an OHV V8 doesn't match the car. That said an LT5 transplant would be better than sex. I'm pretty sure its not feasible, but I haven't checked the dimensions. At the least a raised hood would be necessary.
