    I can't remember every single detail of it, but it was in a Dutch consumer show (Kassa) a few years back. IIRC they let an independent dealership test it. As said, not just VW was so bad, but the New Beetle was the worst But still 15 minutes is a lot for replacing a simple light. I can do it on my car in 1 minute or something !

    Not one of the preceding posts was at all helpful in telling me how to replace the tail light lamp on my 2001 IS300, so I figured it out myself.

    It's not as hard as it looks. Here's a step-by-step guide, with photos:

    I suggest just going to any auto parts shop and just let them do the job for you instead.
