Maserati to open new Dutch dealership

(Translated from a Dutch newspaper article)

    Maserati, signboard with charisma

    Eindhoven - November 29 2007

From march next year, Maserati's are for sale in Eindhoven. From then, the prestigious Italian rides can be found in the showroom of Driessen cargroup in Eindhoven.

This makes Driessen the only Maserati dealer in the southern part of the Netherlands.

"Of course this will give our showroom a huge charisma boost", says Francois Driessen, CEO of Driessen Auto Group Eindhoven. According to him, the Italian brand has an extra attraction to current en future clients. "It's a segment we aren't represented in yet. With Chevrolet and Suzuki we serve the bottom of the market, next year we also serve the top of it."

The brand gets an own level in the building at the Pietersbergweg, where now Hummer, Saab, Cadillac and Alfa Romeo are sold. Standard there will be four cars of the brand in the building, excluding possible showcars. Driessen will also offer service and maintenance.

My teachers always say it is much harder to design a cheap, desirable car than to create a luxury sportscar. Definitely a truth. So another reason to say:

    Suzuki >>>>> Maserati

whats more fun though! Its cool though that you have a degree specifically for automotive engineering. I don't even think this degree exists at US schools.

Aaah...but if string theory is true, then we are not certain if Suzuki was really > than Maserati!
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

    you can pick between

    BEng > Mechanical > Manufacturing > Automotive
BEng > Mechanical > Solid Mechanics > Automotive
BASc > Mechanical Engineering > Manufacturing > Automotive
BASc > Mechanical Engineering > Solid Mechanics & Thermodynamics
    BSc > Mechanical Engineering

so its more like a stream, rather than a program/major/degree

On our department we have classes from some specific Automotive people, but also a lot of teachers from other departments. Lots of Electronics engineering, mechanical engineering and company economic people. It's more or less a combination of all these three, which makes it so hard. We have exactly the same as EE + ME, but then combined.. Projects and most lessons are focused on cars though.

by the way, specialization > comprehension

i hate wasting so much time with these programming/chemistry/electrical courses i have, just to specialize in solid mechanics? god damn this shit

Exactly the same, but with some automotive example's at times. Automotive = cars, lorries, busses, bikes and combinations of those. They involve a lot of both specialties offcourse.
