Jaguar SUV?

Just another idea of mine......
Mercedes, Bmw, Range rover, Porsche and now Vw, all have nice big leading suvs, and i was thinking why dont Jaguar build one?
Recent concepts by jaguar have inspired me to create a photoshopped jag suv. This new 4x4 suv would rival the X5, m-class, Vogue, Cayenne and the toerag. It would improve sales at jaguar and be a great seller... I'd love to drive this. Would you?

Ok the chop isnt great but it was just a quick job! Now jag has led lights like on RD-6 concept it could do with a bit of the latest jags feutures.

Whats your view?

Was that the sound of someone in the marketing division at Jaguar being shot? How could they be the only manufacturer as yet not to have an SUV in their stable? I started a post a few months back asking for everyone to post the names of all the manufacturers who now had SUVs. I'll make it easier. Can we post the names of all the ones who dont?

Personally I dont think Ferrari has any right to deprive any longer from a Furry SUV. Unless they want the distinction of being the only manufacturer not to have one.

Don't laugh, it could have happened.

Ford, using remarkable vision, way back in '95 or so, was considering a tie up between Jaguar and Land Rover to produce a Luxury SUV to help spread the development load of making a new Range Rover or Discovery, fortunately the project didn't see the light of day, but what if?

I think a Jag Suv will be in a similar vein to a Saab SUV, a sell out of character just to stay alive, they aren't making great sales, sure, but it's because of product cheapness, the X-type being a good example, but the new XJ just shows how much Jaguar are obsessed with keeping History, they need a new, fresh audience, the only real reason Jag sales are slipping is because most owners are dying off of old age.....

The main problem with a Jag SUV, it that it would be the same as the Range Rover.
It would have to be more of a cross-over.

i think some people mis understood me, i didnt mean why dont all the top manfactures build a suv! Just that jaguar are up there rivaling against merc, bmw, and there would be more competion for jag. Anyway it was just something that was on my mind.....

You would think that Jaguar would have already made a SUV by now. It would be pretty easy for them to make one. They could base it on an existing platform like the Range Rover or Lincoln Aviator and then drop a supercharged V8 in it.
