Rather Unfortunately it was a scorcher of a day (32 degrees centigrade) with overhead sunlight (the photo was taken at about 2:30pm).
When I get a Chance i'm going to go back there at night. Parliament House (the coathanger in the background) and the Bridges are fluoro-lit.

I actually just did look it up, hahaha. According to the info I found, Phoenix's heat seems to be more extreme, believe it or not. Also, I moved here (been here for over four years) from Fairbanks, AK (lived there for like 11 years), so I've pretty much seen both extremes just about as extreme as they get.
