    Stick it to 'em

But psychologists in Colorado have discovered a high correlation between bumper stickers and road rage. Really. More bumper stickers equal more rage.

And, even more intriguingly, it doesn't matter what's on the stickers: angry slogans, hilarious one-liners, messages of world peace. Sticky bumper, angry brain.

The study posits that the bumper sticker is used as a 'territory marker', personalising the car in the same way as vanity plates and decals and making the driver more likely to defend their territory.

"We have a lot of instincts that animals have," says William Szlemko, co-author of the study. "Many people respond as if the violation took place in their home and not on a public road."

So unless you want people thinking you're a cleaver-wielding nutjob, you'd better peel off that 'My Other Car is a Bus' sticker quicksharp.

That said, we've always found the shotgun/back window correlation a rather clearer indication of likely road manners.
That explains quite alot of the freaks on the road...

Also, the only sticker I have is a silhouette of the Nurburgring with Nurburgring on the top of it.
Although I've considered buying a huge inverted sticker that says "Move Over" on my front window

a sticker would look silly on my car I think. If I had a ricer I would put that cool transformer sticker on (smaller one), nurburgring one is cool but I would hate someone to come up to me and say have ou been there? And i would have to say...no.

I have a Pirelli sticker on the back of the Saxo. I didn't put it there though. Parked it outside my Dad's companies lock up and my Dad's work partner put it there while I was working. Cheeky...

Makes sense. There is no reason for stickers, unless you really want it to be known that badly.

And, just wondering, if you have enough impediments (random decorations, rice wings etc.) can you be fined/pulled over for it?

Because I've seen people on the highway with mattresses hanging from the roof, boxes in the car, ricers with wings falling off.

You can get fined for it, no?

It depends on the laws per country/state.
In Israel for example its ilegal to have colored neon lights either in or out of the car

I have a BoJ sticker on the bottom right of my rear window. Other than that I'll likely sell my vehicle so I don't see the point covering it in stickers.

That's good. They're extremely distracting anyway.
