wow 13 years ago... and the nsx is still in production, well facelift version.. today these cars are tunned a lot, by petrolheads like second hand motors...do you reckon the rx 8 and 350 z will be the same in another 13 years??? probally
Yeah i heard they only have about 6000-8000 Nsx's in the world
The top speed probably is 150mph.
Don't trust your speedo!
They are usually set to over-read by a fair few mph, so when the speedo in a 1.2 Fiat Punto, with 5 people in the car says its doing 100pmh, it is actually doing 80 - 85 mph
Obviously this over-read is scaled, so that it is only a few mph out at lower speeds, and more at higher speeds.
When magazines do testing, they usually take their own measurements, with their own properly calibrated instruments, or they use the manufacturers figures, which will also be accurately measured.
Thanks for all the fish
the RX-7 had a claimed 255-260hp when it first came out, plenty enough to keep up with the other cars in the group as you can see, i think it was '96 or '99 when they redid the turbo's with higher flowing units and redid the oil cooling system, made the suspention more track oriented, etc. the later 280hp FD's wiped the floor with stock supras, engine dynos sugest the actual output of the later motors was around 300-305hp also compared to the claimed 320hp of the supra's and 3000gt's, the former motors where pretty dead on with their 260hp claim's. the FD's the best track car out of the group period then the 300zx
