The gay marriage ban has passed in other states - not good in my eyes and I hope that it fails in Califnonia especially because of the large gay population.
You know, as for Obama, let's judge him after his presidency, not before. I think even if the person you don't like gets in, it is a good idea to have an open mind and be willing to accept if they make things better. Similarly, if your candidate wins, be willing to accept their failings.

Someone said it's history the first black man in the white house. I turned on the tv and am having trouble finding the guy they speak of ?. I'm still having trouble seeing him as a "black man" much the same with Peter Garrett.
Someone said to me he has some charisma much like a very young JFK. I think he will have better communication with people then Dubya which wont be hard. I think he will go alright.

I think people have this misconception that good public speaker = good president.
President Lincoln for instance was not the best public speaker but was a pretty good president. Just my 2 cents not a judgment on Obama.

You got to have a way with people today it's like law. Take GWB. Spoke like shit (fish and humans can coexist) And ran the house in a mess. The world See's a melt down on his watch and suffers from it. I'm sure Obama couldn't be that bad.
