Didn't quite like this weeks episode.

They f*cked up the touring car video (idiots), and the Tesla review left me completely cold.

The only good part was May's FCX Clarity review.

Not had chance to watch it yet ... 2 of the RX-8 owners club are in the audience and various mates have offered payments to charity if they can get noticed or move the RX-8 on the cool wall I offered £20 if they wore one of our "Carbon Footprint my a***" t-shirt and got it on screen

I think they tried to make last night's show a bit more serious in preperation for the TG special coming up, which I'd expect to be totally off-the wall non-car related madness.

I liked the BTCC vid.. and I think all the crash references were there to poke fun at Clarkson's early video releases (basically complilations of crashes from various levels of motorsports).

Does anybody know a link where I could watch the whole episode...

We have no BBC and I was only able to watch them in YouTube... Sadly, the top gear videos were removed in youtube...
    Everything ends at 666...

Honestly, I've never enjoyed any Top Gear episode as much as episode 08 (I'm no biker BTW and not even remotely interested in them).

Fantastic mix of road movie, comedy, cooking show, music and scenery. I want to go to Vietnam, now!

Did you see the credits after the show?
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

it was really great, a deja vu, been to Hanoi less then 2 months ago and to Halong Bay about 15 years ago, fantastic stuff.
Here's one the streets of Hanoi, they actually went there.
And the good thing about the motorcycles is that none has a loud exhaust, it is a permanent buzzing in the streets.
Crossing the road is an art in itself, which you have to master. Just go, and miraculously they all avoid to hit you, if only you just carry one, no stopping and no running.

I was amazed at how Jeremy managed to avoid being racist. In their Japan trip last season he intentionally switched his "l"s and "r"s whenever he talked to a local.
Hammond's character seemed a little stretched and forced whenever they were discussing food.
Was Halong Bay used in a James Bond movie?
    Altogether a great episode.

I reckon it was quite good. But certainly not the best ever, it doesn't fell like one I'd see over and over again.

Probably the fact that it wasn't car-based (or at least related) didn't help either.
