Corvette all the way(OF COURSE!!). But I'm not gonna just be a fanboy, I'll back my reasoning up:

    2001 Lingenfelter Corvette StageIII
    Price:$165,000
    Engine:7.0L V8TT
    Horsepower:802
    0-60mph:2.0
    Standing 1/4:9.2@150

    Hennessey Venom 800TT
    Price:$167,100
    Engine:8.0L V10TT
    Horsepower:833
    0-60:3.1
    Standing 1/4:10.3@140

The Corvette costs less(barely, I know) and out performs the Viper. So, yep, I gotta go with the Vette.

2005 Victory Red Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab
2002 Concord Purple Harley Sportster 883XLC

Even better, my appologies for the slip-up, I merely looked at one of my old Motor Trends real quick to find the info.

Hennessey has a bad rep, so I've heard. Vette for the win.

    Hennessey Viper Venom 800
    Skidpad:1.05g

    Lingenfelter Corvette StageIII
    1.01g(I think)

I will consent that if I'm remembering correctly and that is right the Viper does handle a lil bit better than the Corvette. But with the $2,100 you save buying the Vette you could replace the Z51 suspension with some better.

    ROTFL !!!!

centrifugal g to 2 deciaml places.
    Can't ........ stop ....... laughing .......... can't .............. breathe ............... beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
    "Paddles nurse" ...... thump ...... thump ..... beep..beep..beep

    We saved him !!

    WHere was I ...
OK, 2 decimal places in g is more pressure than your breath. So I hoep the driver always had his mouth facing to the outside of the corner otherwise he/she was at a disadvantage.

I love numbers recorded and used inappropraitely

ohh, man, I got to go lie down

Sorry 'vette, it wasn't you I was having my heart attack over.
It's the journos and mags that print that kind of useless number.
So a car is .04g more on a corner than another. That could be some dust on the road !!
It's all in the noise floor of the million variables when you take a car out
When I said inappropriate I meant it is then used to justify the superiority or otherwise of a car. I dont' blame readers who my not know physics for not grasping the stupidity of it.
It's also a cultural thing, a near obsession with statistics - I love baseball averages. Then tried to apply it to soccer Not going to work

Good point in all aspects Matra, after thinking back to my physics class in high school I guess you're right such a small difference isn't a difference of seconds on the track.

I can kind of see where you're coming from. Everyone tests different numbers or hears different things on these cars and many ppl like to apply the one that sounds the best to their favorite.
