It's about time they discard tht AWD system...
Everything ends at 666...

ahh, nice one, a Lambo that isn't dangerous isn't a Lambo, a raging bull doesn't behave like a horsey.
It's not too hard to do. Just remove the driveshaft in the front half...
Lamborghini's will be cool once again.
if they will really make a rear wheel drive lambo then i guess i'll ahve to buy an LP640 and an LP640-2 cause both r cool the LP640 for safe racing an the LP640-2 for fun racing hehehe
I have a related question. Is AWD/Quattro an evolutionary remanent*? In the sense it is no longer needed (or at least all that necessary) now that we have electronic driver aids?
*In performance driving. I realize of course Audi needs AWD for marketing reasons as well and that off-road is a whole different ball game.

I see they recruited Colin as the drivetrain engineer.

Electronic aids can't put power to the other wheels unless their are driveshafts and diffs there to start with. The electronics control the diff slip rates to adjust torque to different driven wheels when needed and apply brakes to slow wheels down.
So AWD/Quattro adds an extra capability for better performance.

Sweet, good thread title btw.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
