It came it looked it wondered off. Lasted as long as the first engine tested.
They looked good i actually liked the look of the TRD aurion.

I'm still thinking of the potential of a next-gen TRD Aurion with AWD and the V8 engine from the Lexus IS-F
Not sure it would have happened anyway, but think of the potential of such a sleeper.

Wait, TRD still existed?

What does this mean for the rally team?
I think the TRD road car division ran independant of the rally team and TRD Japan. The Aurion IIRC was co-developed with Prodrive.
They'd probably be in a stronger position with a better product. The TRD HiLux and Aurion werent bad, but the Aurion in particular compared to its local competition was overpriced and underpowered, as well as sending power to the ground in a manner alot of people cant get their head around. The HiLux didnt have much competition in the market and was more of a niche, but probably couldve done with a better interior. IMO a $45K Ranger had a better feeling interior and the TRD HiLux went for about $60K IIRC.
I am the Stig
I actually saw a registered TRD Aurion on the road once. To put that in perspective, I've seen 3 Gallardo superleggera's.
TRD was seeking a niche that didn't exist.

Despite what the motorsports history will tell you, very few joe publics think sport when they think Toyota.

Well, toyota is present in F1... they still lack the experience though...
I think when this team starts winning c'ships, they could be popular in sports...
Everything ends at 666...
666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666 666
Sport Toyota in the same sentence...
Actually i seen 3 lotus Elise before 1 single trd aurion. I did see hilux trd once. I seen spy cars a buick park avenue and a Ferrari model unknown take a corner @ 100kph loose it then 180 it and go through 3 red lights. And still only seen one trd aurion.
now mosports right an awd trd with something bigger under the bonnet would be nice.
