    Lexus problems already

as some of you know a few months ago i purchased a black cherry lexus LS430. Most adds say that the ride is so incredibly smooth and it has a quiet cabin. i find that when i get over 20 the ride feels like offroading. i've had better rides in the desert in a land rover. and then the cabin noise is ok. you can hear some wheel noise but that doesnt botherme. the mark levingson sound system puts that down lots. once i hit 30-35 some wind noise buts in. thats ok too. the sound can take care of that. any faster than that it's like being in a converdible. i've checked the sealent on all the doors and window's and thats good. i made sure all the windows were closed tight and that was good. but i still get this unbarable wind noise. any suggestions?

Buy an Acura RL or BMW 7-Series or the new MB S-Class.

I don't know what to tell you. Maybe have the dealership look at it and drive it to see if they can fix the problem. I'm not positive though.

Either you're exaggerating just a little or something is really messed up. Are the mirrors locked in the right position? Really, if the windows are sealing you shouldn't hear that much wind noise. Is the sunshield closed but the sunroof open? Strange, I haven't heard of such a complaint in a modern car. A kid parents old Chrysler had funny sounds and those turned out to be rust had gone right through the firewall!! It sounded like a haunted house.

It must be a historical thing. Both my lexus cars are getting long in the tooth but had excessive wind noise from the beginning. I didn't know the ls had it too. The new gs certainly doesn't...at least it didn't on the test drives I had. Go over to www.clublexus.com to the ls section, ask the guys if they have a fix for it.
I have my own rememdy. I notice if I never let the windows down, the noise goes away. Seems strange but I live in Fl. It's too hot to not run the AC. I usually keep them up.

if im not mistaken the gs (ES?) is in the m45 class, not the LS

Yeah the G35 Coupe is awesome. My mom wants a black one, but we have 5 people in our family. So she can't get what she wants this time. I love that car though. I was simply stating in my post that some toyotas, or the ones i have rode in which is about everyone have some wind noise. Our toyota supra, which is some 13 years old has wind noise bad up around the mirror on the inside. But i can't seem to find it either. It is being looked at soon though, usually any car dealership can find it and hopefully fix the problem.

G is even smaller, you're thinking of the Q. Q45 is comparable to the LS 430.
