    Racing F430 confusion

Could someone help me with this? I think I'm a bit stuck with Ferrari's racing F430 indexes. UCP has the GT2 version as F430 GTC (GT Competizione?), while I met also F430 GT2 and F430 GT names. Simply F430 GT looks almost impossible, having in mind F430 already exists in GT3 setup. In this case it would be rather logical to call the GTC car GT2. Where is the truth?

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

Not exactly. I was referring to the top of my head rather than chin.

Not to create another thread for a couple of messages, here's one more question about 550 Maranello racing versions. I've heard of Italtecnica 550 GT (Millenio) and Prodrive 550 GTS. Was Wieth Racing's car based on either of them or was it another project? Also what can you say about 1999 racing 550 Maranello (by Italtecnica, too, IIRC)?

EDIT: And who, by the way, has prepared a JGTC version?

I believe that the JGTC car was one of the ten Prodrive cars. The others are all independently developed. I think there were two Italtecnica cars, one Wieth and another by Rafanelli in the USA.

    Edit: Prodrive/Care 10x, Italtecnica 2x, Wieth 2x and Rafanelli 2x

Indeed, the Nomad 550 was prepared by Prodrive. The 10th chassis if I'm not mistaken.

Link instead of direct link to pic.

Thanks! Looking further I've also found some XL Racing Team 550 Maranello, which looks distinctive from other versions.

N.Technology used to be the inhouse Fiat racing department. So they were probably involved with the 575 GTC.

Yes, but still two 550 cars are said to be prepared by N.Technology - those cars entered by JMB Racing. Though one of them, before it was sold to JMB, was a Rafanelli car. Moreover, some sites don't even count Rafanelli cars, but instead they call them Italtecnica ones...
