Sadly, I cannot speak German. Does this tuned GT-R have any kind of designation? Why does only this dealership have the right to tune it so? Most critically of all can this new version lap the Nürburgring faster than the ZR1?!?!1111?!11?!111

badda has a good point about the potential warranty voiding though.

so...it's the only official tuning (apart from nismo), but it can be done only by a dealer in German. No words on warranty claims, no words on the fact the updates are made by Nissan and installed by the dealer, or if they are developed by the dealer.
why this car can't be simple?

You don't need to speak German to understand the article.

The updates are being carried out by the Nissan High Performance Centre "Autohaus Broemmler". I suppose, but the article does not give any indications, that if it is done in cooperation with Nissan Germany, otherwise they might not be allowed to use that name. This would also mean that normally guarantee would apply, but also this is not being referred to in the article.
(I have already seen another tuned version by Cobra, giving 620 BHP).

It's the 21st century: They plug a laptop into the engine bay, push a button and that's it.

I kinda feared that. So boring and why not do it with an independent tuner for the cheap?
