The Ford Escort Wagon Is Dead

I have no pictures, but yeah, the Ford Escort Wagon, a 1993-ish model is dead.

The engine I think threw a rod, and thrashed up the insides.

I think my dad's going to change the engine. Funny thing is, he put a new one in last year.

It's a good workhorse, and it's not worth getting a new car over it.

Edit- I'll try to get photos, but I'm at college right now, so yeah.

And if it's in the wrong section of the forums, sorry.

Nah, it was shot when he got it.

I forgot to mention he's a mechanic for about oh, over 20 years now.

He started off fixing earth moving equipment and moved onto cars.

He specializes on Hondas, but happened to pick up the Ford.

Are you sure, that having gone through 2 engines wouldn't it be worth it to just get a new car?

I'm not sure how it broke down the first time. I think that was before my dad salvaged the car.

And yes, I have been thinking of highly improbable engine swaps.

That Integra is a different story altogether.

It came with a waterlogged engine. The car had been in a flood, so most of the body was submerged.

Then my dad helped things along by accidentally spilling battery acid on the floor of the rear passenger compartment.

    That was a fun car.

This is what I thought. It sounds too old to be worth sinking any more money in.

I would think getting another car would be cheaper than putting another engine in.

Maybe, but then there's the issue of paperwork, finding another car to replace it, switching the insurance, etc. etc.

I understand what you guys mean- I even told that to my dad. He said he'll fix it, and that's what he'll do.
