It's cause I call them before you do. So just out of curiosity what's the temp down there right now? Think some lonely guy in your area is willing to buy me plane tickets if I go online and pretend to be some 18 year old who is having a fight with her parents?

Well it went okay, we're now trying to sort out the logistics of towing etc, we don't want to have to spend $200 to rent a trailer and Ute every track day.

We're also getting MRT performance to look at the car mechanically when possible.

MRT have been involved in WRX/Evo tuning and racing for many years with a lot of success. so We feel its important to get a serious professional opinion on the health of the car. Everything looks straight but we want to be sure.

Next update when we figure out more

Renting a trailor each time will probably be touch and go anyway. Your average Kennards Hire/U-Haul twin axle car trailor is only rated to 2000kg gross, and the trailor itself can be 800-900kg. Kennards will probably want to inspect the tow car as well, and if its an aftermarket tow kit they probably wont let you hire it.

you might have to drop a grand or so on a trailer, especially if you're planning on taking it long distance like you said.

Ballz sounds like its all taking shape mate and hope MRT gives the go ahead

On the trailer thing, factor in about 3 grand. Buy something good thats suited to the cars weight and decent tie downs. We have farked around with the chain and screw type adjusters and found them to be a PITA on long trips especially on the shitty NSW back roads. The 1st time we went to Bathurst we were constantly adjusting the chains every 100kays or less depending on the condition of the road. This year we used the 2500kg load binders and there were much better, only adjusted when fuel was needed and the cars didn't move.

The trailer is sorted if we get the car, My uncle owns one of the largest trailer companies in VIC, so he can knock one out to our specific requirements

Just round up some of the neighbourhood youths and lash them to the trailer.. it's like driving a dog team, only with more pimples.
