Remembers me of a Megan CC crossed with a Lexus SC, nothing good in that.

I think the present 3er coupe doesn't look that good actually, let alone the CC.
The C70 has a too narrow front end to live with that large and squashed ass.
The only one I'd pick is the Ferrari California, with the roof welded to the the body and some other tricks to fix the whole package.
That, or the SL65 BS, for shit and giggles.

SLK me no likes, even less if the top is down.
Present MX-5 is a no go for me, let alone the hard top one.
I'd still pick the Cali, with a tuned exhaust (just to change the layout), the top always up and the DSG. Not my cup of tea, but it wouldn't kill me.
That's in the incredible world where I have 200.000 € and must buy an hard top convertible.
Now that I think about it, I'd go for a Micra CC and something more intriguing with the other 180.000 €.

The MX-5 isn't enough MX-5 anymore, too heavy, too large, trying to compensate it with larger engines.
It's just a cheaper Z4, without the M appeal.
It's like this Infiniti (desperate attempt to be back on topic), it's trying to maintain the Coupe dynamics and sport appeal, while carrying a bit of soft luxury of a 4 seater open top, the joy of showing off your happy face while driving down the road with the top down.
It's probably (another) excellent compromise, and that's it, I'm tired of compromises, people asking for everything right now, right here.
The same car must do everything, and the worst part is that they have what they are asking for.
Not being able to make a choice is a big problem.
does it make sense? never wondered about that...
