The second car is still black, but until Audi releases some press photos of the R15(which with Paul Ricard around the corner should be soon), I stand by what I've gathered, that it's a stylized version of the German flag inspired by the 2008 Audi R10 design with splashes of silver mixed in.

It could be used just for the test, but we'll find out by next Friday, which also happens to be the 20th birthday of a certian someone named Kristen Stewart(odd random fact).

And since I forgot to post it last night, here's the black 2 R15: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytIV6fSVkX0[/ame]

And a longer video that was just recently posted from the same test: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaOLIKe5Cx8[/ame]

NOTE: Upon seeing the better quality video(the second) I posted, it seems like maybe these are camo paint schemes that use broken up colors to confuse people at what they're looking at so(at least while the car is moving) that someone can't judge certain things until later on. Also, the #2 also had some silver and red on it.

Nice to see they try something less sanitary for paintjob.....The Audi paintscheme is always too conservative...

Audi has released a press/promo photo of the R15+, and it uses a paint scheme similar to one of the test cars: http://www.endurance-info.com/versio...udiDeco_01.jpg

The future will possibly have no sound at all.

Will they float and use no brakes?
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

it will result in greater social acceptance of racing, (and more racing) as no noise restrictions will have to be negotiated

No, there will always be something for the general activists to bitch about...I'm sure they'll think of something.

People are complaining about the strobe effect and noise from certain windmill farms.

So both sides will always have their gripes.

With pixie fart injection for extra speed to pass.

In all seriousness, I thought the R15 sounded pretty cool. Certainly not the wail of a NA gas engine revving high, but more of a stealth bomber jet engine wooshing by.

Audi Sport press photos of the R15+. Some photos of the pontoon/side pod that some will find interesting(since there aren't many good photos of that area of the car), and it seems that Audi has two cars ready or almost ready to race, and have new tubs(200 serial number series, to allow the '09/100 series cars to be used for testing against the R15+):

I like they moved the air filter to the snorkels....the R10 and R8's are located in the airbox in the chassis....
