Lotus Locosts Alfa Romeo 159 SW TI

2008 Alfa Romeo 159 SW TI.

    Specs:
    1,9 JTDM 16V Diesel engine. 150hp@4000rpm - 320NM@2000rpm
    6 speed manual transmission.
    Blue&Me Nav infotainment system.

The car is a MY (Mid Year?) 08 model, it's a late 08 anyway, which I have been told has some major upgrades excluding some earlier known problems.

The car is imported from Germany, and has done 36.000km's so far.

The Blue&Me Nav is a combined Bluetooth device, and a simple Navigation. The navigation is done with arrows and info in the small screen between the speedo and rpm. And voice guiding as well. I haven't tested the Nav out properly, and the blutooth is not up and running due to some language conversion trouble. Hope I get it fixed soon. There is also a USB connection for iPod and such, and also to have additional maps alternatives etc.

After a couple of days of ownership, I have covered some 650 km's in her, and I am nothing but satisfied. I traded this car for my Saab 9-3 SportCombi, and is really surprised of the difference between the two. Mostly in build quality, but also in road handling, drivers pleasure and joy. It's not a rocket with this engine, but it's got a good kick when the boost is up, and is a good passer. The figured consumption of 5,9l/100km for this engine is pretty accurate. Did 5,5l/100km on my 500km highway journey this Sunday. An average based on mixed driving will unveil itself during this week.

I have dreamed about owning just a 159 as this for a long time, even when I bought the Saab. Back then there was little cars like this one in the market and still a bit too expensive for me. When this car came up now, I realized that I had to jump it. It's basically a dream come true, within my reach at this time.

The shots are from the dealer, so not top notch. Light conditions are a bit bad up here this time of year, but will take some better shots during Christmas, showing her with the winter rims.
