This weekend the first major endurance race of the season will kick off; the Daytona 24 Hours. Part of the GrandAm series, it's open to GT and Daytona Prototype cars. The cars may not be the most pleasing to look at, many of them are manned by some of today's finest drivers. It will be the final Daytona 24 Hours for the legendary Hurley Haywood, who won the race more times than any other driver.
Our friends at SpeedTV.com have drafted up detailed previews for both classes:

Grand Marshall of the race, Vic Elford, will lead the classic cars in the Porsche 907 he won the 1968 edition of the race with. That was the first ever outright win in a blue ribbon endurance race for Porsche. More on that here: AUTO-RACING - ROLEX 24: Elford's Porsche Leads Heritage Expo - SPEEDtv.com
Large portions of the race will be aired live on Speed.
