The noise of the engine (which they did not show), was racy and the gearbox sounded really agricultural with lots of cloncks. When parking on the grass it could not negotiate a 5 cm hill, because the real wheels started spinning on the pebbles.
The real story is that car may be homologated as a GT2, (at least in the opinion of Zagato) and a small series could then be envisaged. It would look great on a track but personally I doubt whether we will ever witness that.
Wow, it'll actually go racing? That's really cool.

Well, it's tiny and seems to be pretty track-oriented, based off the one interior shot. That's a race interior if I've ever seen one, definitely not intended to be a gran tourer. So it's impressive, yes, but certainly not inconceivable.

I love the styling, though. Really wish Alfa would add a small, rwd coupe like this to their lineup.

Hey, guyz! I've just read this: "For now, the car remains a one-off, although interested parties could always approach Zagato if they want their own TZ3." (taken from here)

Not that I could afford this car, but just wondering could it be true? :)

first get yourself a Gillet Vertigo carbon tub and a suitable V8, and then Zagato will do the body work for you.

Why would we think it's a 1st of Aprill joke. First, i have seen the Alfa Romeo in the flesh at Goodwood, and second this thread is quite old.

Because the Viper is a discontinued behemoth and using such a chassis/engine for the rather compact TZ3 seems ludicrous.
Your own last post to this thread was just ten days ago. I can see how you'd be confused though.

You are talking about TZ3 Corsa, not Stradale. I've seen Corsa also last summer at Alfa Romeo Centenary. :)

    Gillet-based Alfa isn't particularly enticing.

    Viper-based Alfa is downright offensive.

It's not an Alfa, it's a Zagato TZ3 Corsa. It just looks like one. Besides, Alfa and Dodge are the same company anyway...

If anyone is still confused, it's definately not a joke. They have announced plans to do it.

So in the end it really is an Alfa-badged Viper.

Zagato unveils new TZ3 Stradale with the heart of a Viper and the soul of an Alfa Autoblog

This car should be destroyed with fire.
