This is a series of photos I took during the Mille Miglia 2010 edition in the medieval village of Buonconvento south of Siena along the original Via Cassia .
After an overnight stop in Rome, participants began the ascent towards the the Peninsula to the historical finish of Brescia.
At Buonconvento cars makes a short stop before heading to the classical time control of Piazza del Campo in Siena.
Each photo at the bottom have in red letters a little description where it describes the model, year of construction and the driver/owner.
In some cases, when the car was the original that has raced actually at least a historical edition of the Mille Miglia , is identified with capital letters MM and year of participation. The driver's name is added in case of a famous race driver of the competition.
If required I can provide more details about each car based on registration data.
The latest editions of the commemoration of the Mille Miglia are allowed only by cars that participated in the historic race or were built before 1927 or in the Mille Miglia years and that these models were actually enrolled up to one of 24 historic editions.
