    Touring Cars
    9. Which two former grand prix winners are currently driving in the DTM and which teams do they drive for?
    10. In 1994 TWR entered two Volvos in the BTCC. Which model and what was unusual about them?
    11. Which former Bathurst, Spa 24-hour and BTCC champion was paralysed after injuring his back at his house last year?
    12. Who scored pole position for the first Wellington 500 street race in New Zealand in 1985, and what car was he driving?

    GT Racing
    13. Who was the 2003 JGTC (Japanese GT) Champion and which car did they drive?
    14. Who won the 2001 FIA GT Championship and what car did they drive?

    US Racing
    15. Which famous NASCAR driver was killed in the 2001 Daytona 500?
    16. Who won the 2001 Daytona 24 hour and which car did they drive?
    17. Who was the 2003 SCCA Speed World Challenge GT champion?

    Rallying
    18. Who won the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally and what car did he drive?

So, hopefully these questions are a challenge. As before +1 to correct answers.

    Some answers:

    1. Jacques Villeneuve was the 1997 World Formula One Champion. Who finished in second that year (clue: it's not the obvious person).
Answer: Heinz Harold Frentzen, Williams. Michael Schumacher actually scored more points but was disqualified from the championship points table following his final round clash with Villeneuve.

    3. Who holds the record as the youngest ever winner of a round of the World Championship, and what race did he win?
Answer: Fernando Alonso, 2003 Hungarian Grand Prix. Aged 22 years 26 days.

    5. How many pole positions did Ayrton Senna score?
    Answer: 65 poles

    8. Who won the 1975 Austrian Grand Prix and what car did he drive?
    Vittorio Brambilla, March-751 Ford

    10. In 1994 TWR entered two Volvos in the BTCC. Which model and what was unusual about them?
Answer: 850s. There was room for a couple of border collies in the back. They were estates/station wagons.

    15. Which famous NASCAR driver was killed in the 2001 Daytona 500?
    Answer: Dale Earnhardt.

    16. Who won the 2001 Daytona 24 hour and which car did they drive?
Answer: Ron Fellows, Chris Kneifel, Frank Freon & Johnny O'Connell. Chevrolet Corvette C5-R.

byronleehk got all the above answers correct.
Try again on questions 13 and 7 though.

    18. Who won the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally and what car did he drive?
Answer: Paddy Hopkirk, Mini Cooper 1071S

    19. Who was the 1985 World Rally Champion and what car did he drive?
Answer: Timo Salonen, Peugeot 205 T16

mustang123, you really do know your rallying... both correct.

    Some clues:
Question 4, the driver concerned was a New Zealander. He held the record until Alonso took it off him last year.
Questions 6 & 7: the same driver will be the correct answer for both questions. He was Italian.
Question 11: he won the 1990 Bathurst 1000...
Question 12: he was a famous Aussie, driving a car entered by a NZer...
Question 13: byronleehk - the car was a Skyline, but it wasn't a Calsonic one.
Question 14: they drove an American car.
Question 17: the car in question was German, the driver American.
Question 20: he drives for one of the Ford teams.

I can't really give clues for questions 2 or 9 without giving the answers away. Perhaps Matra or Henk4 can answer question 2 for us? And there must be a least one DTM fan on this forum..

For question 11, the driver concerned finished second in the 1986 ETCC in a TWR Rover Vitesse. He won the 1982 BTCC in a Toyota Celica. He managed and drove for the Holden Racing Team team in Australia in the late 80s early 90s.

Answer: Max Wilson, Triple 888 Ford Falcon. Well done FPV.

Since no one has been able to give the answers to the remaining questions, here they are:

    11. Which former Bathurst, Spa 24-hour and BTCC champion was paralysed after injuring his back at his house last year?
    Answer: Win Percy

    12. Who scored pole position for the first Wellington 500 street race in New Zealand in 1985, and what car was he driving?
Answer: Dick Johnson, Pinepac Ford Falcon XE. Co-driver was Bruce Anderson.

    13. Who was the 2003 JGTC (Japanese GT) Champion and which car did they drive?
Answer: Satoshi Motoyama/Michael Krumm, Xanavi Nissan Skyline.

    14. Who won the 2001 FIA GT Championship and what car did they drive?
Answer: Christophe Bouchut/Jean-Philippe Belloc, Chrysler Viper GTS-R.

Another 20 questions to follow when I get time. I'll concentrate more on F1, Touring Cars and Rallying rather than GTs.
