E46 M3. They're available for around 40K CAD these days. That's not too out of reach.

No it's not. The car in the picture is a Vauxhall Carlton. However you could always took to Irmscher and strech the engine to 4 litres...

    In Britain, for £800?

The Vauxhaul Carlton GSi is a bargain like no other, where else can you get a big engine, silly oversteer reletive reliability and the ability to pretend you're a police car for under a grand?

On a similar note the vauxhall omega (its superceeder?) is also excellent value, power, luxury and rwd with the advantage of savage depreciation to aid the 2nd hand buyer!

'90's Vauxhall's can suck my ****, Ugly beasts. We had a new Cavalier Saloon 2.0l between 1990 & 1993, wasn't bad, but it was spotty. Dad had it at his and Mum's wedding, BRAND SPANKING NEW and it got confetti all over it, Dad could'nt be bothered to wash it in the few hours before they'd board their plain bound for their Honeymoon Location in Barbados, came back, washed the car and the confetti had disolved the paint in places leaving him with a metallic dark red spotty car. One thing I liked about it was the windy sunroof and car phone, missed it when we had an electric sunroof in the Citroen XM Estate 2.0l that followed and got bored of the windey sunroof's by the time we got the Land-Rover Discovery TDI after the Citroen...

But the Carlton, what an ugly beast! and the Astra, and the Corsa, and the Frontera, and the Senator........ Good memories of the Senator though... Mind you, it was destroying it slowly...

No it's really not we have Vauxhalls in Britain, Einstein

In Germany it's the Opel Omega, as well as pretty much everywhere else.

Vauxhall has some sort of brand values here. Don't even ask. But I do know for a fact that the car pictured is a GSi 3000 24v- I worked on one when I was 7!

Wow that's close to recycling value from the crushers, was it a total wreck? Over here the cheapest roadable V-Car (tired '00 Holden ex-taxi) is worth maybe 10 x more, than your Boss's car

In my reach, uhh... nothing. In my parents' reach, I'd say a Porsche 997 Carrera 2S.
