Is this a chop or the real thing? It seems kind of strange that Porsche released all of these models so close together. First the 997, and the 997 S, then the spied 997 Convertible, Boxster and now 997 GT3? Anyways, I love this car. I don't really like the original 997 because it looks so long but the new skirts on this car are beautiful. The spoiler is kind of weird. It's not size (I like big spoiler) but the design could have been better. Expecting more and better pictures.

Well, first things first... that wing... naughty Porsche! I can only hope it's form follows function, cos that thing ain't pretty!
Secondly... I own a component from a Porsche GT3 Cup!!! If you look at the cable lever mounted on the gear stick, that's a Shimano XT cable brake lever! I have two of those on my bike! They might not actually be Shimano XT ones, but they're definately the same design. Yay.

Why is it unusual for them to release the GT3 cup car now?
All of the potential owners need to get them ready to race next season, it wouldn't do much good to release it a week before the first race.
The wing is a proper racing wing i.e. it works, and creates downforce.

I like what Porsche has done with the headlights. The "Porsche" headlight was starting to get to me. Looked like the 911, Boxster, and Cayenne had the same units.

Why does everybody hate thay wing.... its a little outgoing and over done but still, its there to serve a purpose. I like the car, looks fast.

I think top gear did a thing on this car. They put it up against the 360CS.... The 360 won. It wins in my head to, I love em both but... the 360 is just cooler.

No that was the 996 GT3 RS....
This is the cup car, for 997, the time urgency can be easily explained as the Carrera Super Cup series always uses the newest 911 model. And in the 2005 season they will be running a 997 as the road car 997 had came out....
Its a bloody race car, with a bloody racing wing...

It was 360 CS vs GT3 RS... they both had exactly the same laptime...
but i prefer the GT3 RS... such a nice car.... :drools:
