    Wow. I thought it was just a crazy paint job some guy had done. If you hadn't said something I would have had no idea. That's apparently the rarest car I've ever seen, and yet I still have no desire to own one.

    i saw one at a car show when i was a kid (when they were new) and thought it was stupid. still do, but it is certainly noteworthy.

    The rarest car I've seen is the old Lexus IS300 Sportback. I passed by it a couple times in Manhattan, it's always been the same one when I'm in the neighborhood. I think there's only about 1,500 of them in the entire US.

    According to wiki they made 275, but wiki also says they made 4 cars at a time and swapped the body panels. Since 275/4 isn't an even number, it kind of makes me wonder.

    Maybe they performed the panel swap on 275 sets of 4 cars, so 275x4?

    275 sounds way too rare.
