Hehe, nostalgia. I just love the history if you look at cars like the 2 cheveaux and the Méhari you really HAVE to love them. And the hydropneumatic suspension, a dream... Citroen has a special place in my heart.

    hmmm. let me think:
    1. Jaguar-no one else combines classic luxury with perfomance as jag does.
    2. Bentley-i'm.... speechless......
    3. Bmw- i dont know about the new design direction is the right but we'll see.
    4. Ferrari-porsche-lambo-aston martin- love um all. all are #4 in my list.
    5. Mercedes- really nice cars, but i have a feeling that they are losing their prestige due to all the models that they are coming out with!!- in that way jaguars are a lot better, they are more exclusive.

oh and about you hating BMWs, i really did not like them either until my sister bought a 2004 BMW 745i with the premium package two weeks ago. oh man there is so much stuff in the car it is unbelievable. i mean the doors close automaticly, the seats are heated and cooled, the seats have a massager in them, etc... all for about $80,000 american. if you wanted all that in a mercedes youy would have to pay well over $100,000 american. so any way now i love bimmers. and trust me once you ride a round in them you will start liking them.

Try a CLIO V6 to get the adrenaline going
    R5 Turbo2 ? ( really an Alpine but sold as Renaults )
And they have the best TV ads - do you guys get the Megane 'nice rear' ads ? When I first saw the car I didn't like it and after their ads have run for a while the brain has been remapped

    and don't forget the A610
Most countries where Sunbeam sold meant the UK manufacturer had the Alpine name and all the perofrmance cars had to be sold as RENUALT.
USA was unlucky not to get the best of those cars. Alpine wouldn't destroy their cars the way the MGB was for the US market - French styling is important in their cars
