well the tyers/breaks would be adiquite (like the normal brakes on the XR6T or XR8) but they can ask near anty price they want due to how uncommon they are.

well i had a look at them, and they seemed to be only 17" wheels/tires and the brakes were only 2 piston front/single piston rear which is something fitted to a 240hp falcon, not 350hp and 400hp vettes. i know america is tougher on what standard wheels can be put on a car, for example, the pontiac gto has 17's but a standard monaro has 18's and im pretty sure the HSV GTO has 19's

Well you wouldent particuarly want to go over 17 inches rubber really starts getting very expensive. But then there is the facr you can put new rubber on all corners of a car for 200 and thats top of the line stuff!

well europe is getting into the habit with their large cars of putting 17's standard on everything and going up to 19's and 20's for the sports editions

well when my dad replace the 225/245/45 17's on his M3, he handed over $2000 for all four corners. he jumped at the idea of continental giving a 10% discount out at the SMS but when i told him they werent exactly the best tires for australian roads he got a bit confused then i told him theyre engineered for high quality german roads, not the gravel in melted rubber we call roads

Sounds a little like my brothers super soft road wheels he has on the ute great performing tiers but dont last as long as most cheaper ones and arnt any good for burnouts.

well it gets ridiculous what some companies ask for tires, in a recent performance tire test done by wheels, a set of silverstones as an OE replacement for the dunlops on an XR6T outperformed a set of pirellis and only cost a couple of hundred bucks for all corners compared to a couple of grand in pirellis

I rember that test vauegly the pirellis actually performed 2nd best in one test. but in the test the dunlops performed best all round and done best in a few odd tests it wouldent suprise me if the car was set up exactly for those tiers.

well there would be some suspension calibrations that wouldve gone in the dunlops favour, as dunlop supple pretty much all of the falcons tires, and actually came up with the sp sport 3000 especially for the XR i believe

well not exactly, the OE dunlop sp sport 3000's were used as the control tire and the dunlops featured in the comparison were FM901's

overall i guess theyd be the same but with different characteristics, dunlop still have the SP9000's and the SS001's that are better

the test was for OE replacement 235/45 ZR17's so they had to compare against as similar a tire as possible. otherwise the pridgestone SO-2's couldve been there along with the SP9000's and SS001's
