Can anyone tell me what this car is?

I have edited this post, as the pic is larger than 640x480. I have cropped the pic and attached it...

Hi, I've had a search on XJ13s and they look similar in some ways, but different in others Did the kit cars look very different? this car has very pointed tops to the rear wings..

Pity it's not possible to make out the side or front badges...

It definitely isn't a Jag. XJ13 the front air scoops throw that off right away. Hmmm.. I wonder what this could be, maybe you could ask henk or Matra, if anyone will know, it'll most likely be them.

I'd say it's front engined for sure. There is no room for it to be mid-engined and it's no Porsche. Maybe it's an Elva of the sorts, or something else British.

Pretty sure it's not an Elva, the split openings on the front dont' seem right and I don't remember Elava with side exit ventes either.

But the swoop of the wing is VERY reminiscent the '60s cars from Turner et al.

But can't help and theat big V on the front I can't place

Concur it isnt' rear engine as no intakes and too low rear deck and nobody would put a tyre over the top of it

Problem is we coudl be looking at a modified car

Sorry can't help. I'll ask my 'expert' on kits, but it looks too well finished to be a kti

I'd tried dong a search on the trucking company thinking the photo might have come from their web site but no luck

The nose has some similarities with 60s corvette to my eye ? Any race specials ever done ??

The only race specials for the Vette in the 60's(or early at least, which i think this would have come from) was the Grand Sport. 5 were built and they didn't look like this at all. Zora Duntov was still head of the Corvette program at the time in question and all concept cars or special cars he oversaw were hints at future model lines. I'll take a look through some books and website on Vettes to see for sure, but as far as I know this is not a Vette.

Well, in my view it could be a forgotten 60's Le Mans competitor, but then it's just a guess.

    Maybe

I think it may be an Elva MK 7. Cars like this sometimes have small incremental changes over their production runs.

probably not because the mystery car appears to have a front engine
