Remember a video with a guy driving an F40 against a Jordan F1 car, and of course the F1 car left it quickly. Comparing a road legal car to F1 cars is interesting but they don't match up at all.

That is the Maserati MC12, not the MC12 Stradale, the car Maserati hope to be racing next year.

It has sticky slick tyres, which will increase cornering speeds, and allow better traction on the exit of corners, and it has a lot more in the way of aerodynamics to keep the car planted through the corners.

The MC12 is also 265kgs lighter than the Enzo, which more than outweighs the difference in power and torque - MC12 = 563bhp/tonne, Enzo = 483bhp/tonne

I doubt they did a wet time for the Enzo, considering where the track is. I doubt they have to wait long for a dry day.

Plus the MC12 is set up for racing, the Enzo would have some sort of compensating set-up to allow for road use. I know that you get the old Race button but i bet they couldnt set it up perfectly because they have to make a Race set-up that will apeal to all the buyers. If say Schumi and the mechanics took one for a day they could tune it better.

also . it depends who did the laps .. the MC12 . was probably a racing driver . maybe Bertollini .. but still .. only 2 seconds faster the the Stradale .. hmm . come to think . Fiorano is rather short . so the Enzo couldn't perform at 100%
